Hello dear visitor, I am Yulia, or as everyone calls me 'jolly Joli / Joliette', car mechanic and photographer from paradise on Canary Islands.
I collect old UK, US and Japanese cars and trying to breate a new life to old rusty junk from '70 - '90ties.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been in love with cars. Especially The Defender, Jaguars XJS, XKR, and those curvy C3 and C5 Corvettes completely stole my heart… and owning them only made the obsession worse (or better, depending who you ask). 😏

At 18, by a rather convenient coincidence (or fate), I became the muse for the Land Rover Defender VIP calendars. That moment changed everything — and forever fused my love for cars and photography into one beautiful passion.

After graduating as a mechanical engineer from the University of Frankfurt, I left Germany behind and followed my heart to the Canary Islands. I needed sunshine, freedom, and the space to finally build my lifelong dream — Joliette’s Garage.
Well… that, and the moment when the German government decided — during Corona — that mechanics and wedding photographers weren’t essential... It felt like the final full stop after years of fighting to keep a small business afloat in Europe. It was harsh, but bad things often force you to better your self, it pushed me to dream bigger, and to finally pull the plug and move. 🌞💪

What you see now isn’t just a workshop… it’s the soul of everything I’ve poured my heart into over the years. A dream turned into oily, beautiful reality. 💖
